The 9 Things Couture You Need This Summer
“Paris Est Une Fȇte”, not only at the Elie Saab Fashion Show, but everywhere during Couture Week. Designers presented their most extravagant chef d’oeuvres, of which not everything is wearable in real life, but let’s be honest, Couture is also to dream and is fantasy time.
Formal: We really loved the formal jackets and pants at Armani Privé and Christian Dior.
Bows: These were the stars of couture this summer, in all shapes and sizes, placed on the hips, on the waist, in the back and everywhere else.
Fringe: Always and forever… This season they are metallic, gracing the dresses and accessories alike.
The Sash: Wide in silk or satin, and colorful. Add it to your dresses or your summer coats.
The Jumpsuit: You thought it would not last, right? It’s here, embroidered, perfect for your special occasions.
The Tuxedo Dress: You know your tuxedo jacket? Same but a little longer, worn by itself. It’s usually black or white.
Tribal fabrics and designs hit the couture runways this season. We saw them at Zuhair Murad and Schiaparelli.
Fishnet Details: Embellished, as seen at Armani Privé.
