Georges Hobeika Haute Couture Automne Hiver 24-25

Georges Hobeika, always faithful to the codes of the Maison: Drama, embroidery and sparkle

Georges Hobeika’s Couture 24-25 collection was inspired by a stroll through an imaginary garden at dusk. The collection features monochrome silhouettes  with lace cut-outs and inserts, spectacular dresses cascading around the body like a waterfall, blooming with oversized, handmade blossoms, or floating like magical clouds.

Hobeika’s creations are worked in a range of rich fabrics and treatments replicating the sensuality of petals and dewdrops on flowers and leaves. He used luxurious fabrics including silk velvet, duchesse satin, mousseline and tweed in a variety of shades reflecting the vibrant tones of a twilight garden, from a soft mint green to daring associations of pinks, reds and oranges. Long gloves provide a further tonal focus, while long earrings sparkle like water drops.

Textures in the collection are equally important, whether created through woven fabric, intricate lace and thread work, or the Maison’s trademark beading and embroidery. Matte plays against shine and opaque against transparent to create silhouettes expressing a sense of illusion. Feminine and masculine looks alternate in a playful visual and creative conversation, echoing colours and details.
