Knit dresses are back, well, knitwear in general, not only dresses, but also pants, shorts and jumpsuits. Here we show you why they should really be in your closet. Why do we love them? They are timeless, ageless, very easy to wear, style and pack when you travel. You can wear them to work (a wrap dress), in the city, to the beach, and even on a special occasion.

Style them down with a denim jacket or shirt (a little under the waist if you need to cover any areas of your body). You can also wear them with vests (long or short).

Dress them up with a formal blazer or faux fur jacket on colder days. For special occasions, choose long gowns adorned with crystals and lace, or both, sometimes with a little sheer.

What’s Trending? Cut out dresses, graphics, metallics, and off the shoulders.

How to buy them? Knit dresses have to be good quality, and a little stretchy. Spaghetti straps can be worn any day of the year, and V necks are flattering if you feel comfortable in them (and if you have a bigger chest). A simple long halter dress, or a strappy one could be worn sporty and elegant.  Try also cut out dresses for an edgy touch.

Pick a color that you like or one with graphic prints that looks good on you.

Absolutely a Must Have: Try them metallic one with a little shimmer, don’t be too scared!

How to take care of them? Dry clean or hand wash and lay flat to dry. But dry clean is best.

Accessorize with bold earrings and bangles, but keep it simple if you choose graphic prints.

The Shoes: Try them with flats or heels depending on your comfort zone… Flats to the beach, wedges or sneakers in the city, high heel open toe sandals the you go out, knee high boots or ankle boots  (for the short dresses) for cold days, and classic pumps for a formal outing.
