A celebration of Lebanese crafts, creativity and the city
Beirut is about to come alive again this year with the second edition of We Design Beirut, celebrating Lebanese creativity, resilience, and craftsmanship. The event is taking place from October 22 to 26, expanding across iconic venues such as the Roman Ruins, Burj El Murr and more- transforming the city into immersive exhibitions, installations, and cultural activations.
In just one year, We Design Beirut quickly established itself as a movement rooted in empowerment, preservation, and sustainability, offering a platform for artisans, architects, designers, creatives and even students across the country to connect, collaborate , and showcase their work to the public.
We Design Beirut- Edition 2 is hosting six major exhibitions across heritage sites such as the iconic Villa Audi, the Roman Baths, Burj El Murr, the Union building, and the Abroyan Factory.
This year it’s celebrating traditional Lebanese skills and crafts such as weaving, glassblowing, marble work, woodcraft... It’s bringing together emerging designers, student projects and collaborations between artisans and studios. Added to the calendar this year is a curated architectural bus tour exploring Beirut’s main iconic buildings and urban history.
We Design Beirut is not just an architectural and design event, but a reminder of Beirut’s creative soul and its ability to create, celebrate, and inspire.
