I have seen Amy Smilovic’s boys many times backstage in New York. This season I met them attending their mom’s show, Tibi, with their friend Matthew.

Charlie, the younger one, is a heartbreaker!!! He told me he likes bright colours- thus the red pants with the neon t-shirt he’s wearing! Charlie said he loves his mom so much, but he misses her a lot when she’s working for a long time, “I stay with my nanny and my dad”…

Matthew, the friend in the middle, is 13. He likes bright colours too, but today he decided to “tone it down a little”. Matthew loves playing soccer.

Gabe, for Gabriel, the older son, is wearing a hot pink hat from Tibi’s last year collection. “I like hot pink. It’s fine, I don’t really care if people say he’s a boy wearing hot pink”. In fact his advice for us is: “Do what you want and don’t care about what people say”!…

I ask him what he learnt from his mom? “Be yourself, and express yourself anyway you want”….

And….. Is Amy tough at home? “Sometimes”..

When Gabriel grows up, he would like to be a professional tennis player or an actor: “I am in plays at school”. Gabriel likes to watch Sportscentre and The Food Network. “I like cooking and I cook sometimes. I love steak, mashed potatoes and vegetables”.

Do you get along with your brother? Do you fight? “We’re good, but we fight…. We fight about, everything! Like who gets to watch the TV show he wants”. But the 2 boys agree on their favourite spot for taking a vacation, “The Breakers, in West Palm Beach”!

Charlie likes to watch cartoons, and his favourite show is Tom and Jerry! Good job raising these wonderful boys! God Bless them!
