Reem Acra’s new Barbie is simply royal! Barbie Reem Acra is wearing a silk satin ball gown with hand embroidery details all over it. The back of the dress is all bustled with bows and buttons. Reem Acra’s Barbie is wearing an embroidered body suit under the dress that is signature of Acra’s style. she is crowned with a beautiful jeweled tiara. She is also wearing a 10 karat ring as well as beautiful stud earrings. Her makeup and hair do are very simple and very royal again very much Reem’s style. As for the hair color, Acra chose her favourite, brown, but the one she did for FAO Schwartz was a blond version.

Hayat Ammouri: Usually, the brides choose you. This time you chose your ideal bride. How would you describe her for us? Who is she?
Reem Acra: My Barbie had to be the most chic and elegant bride in the world. She happens to be the most expensive Barbie in the world; the day of my signing at FAO Schwartz, Barbie was sold out in one hour.
Hayat Ammouri: What kind of dress did you design for her and what material did you choose?
Reem Acra: The dress was inspired by one of my actual designs. Each and every detail was important. I used the same materials and same embroideries of my couture dresses. Everything was hand embroidered.
