What I learnt: Pray, Live, Love…

What I learnt so far….

That although LOVE is the greatest thing of all, you have to love yourself more, but love God the most…
God- Embrace your religion- no matter what it is. Faith is love for God, believing in him. Being honest, modest, decent, fair, respectful, grateful, helping people around you, taking care of your children, always giving your best, forgiving… Have your parents’ blessings… Live an honest life. Don’t judge. This is what makes you a human being.
Health… Being healthy is a blessing. I am grateful to God for being healthy, physically and spiritually… I am grateful for the health of my daughters, parents, family, and all my beloved ones….
My Mother- You give affection and love when you have received it; and my mom gave us tons! Although my mom didn’t have her parents, she put all her love for us… She stormed us with her affection, warmth, attention, and cuddles… And I can’t live without hearing her laugher!!! I am a great mother because by instinct, I learnt it from my mom… I love you mommy, and I love you Sano and Khatto, my second moms.
My Father- No matter how strict he is, and no matter how many times I was “slapped” when I was younger (lol)… A dad is a dad… He always wanted the best for me. But at least with him, I learnt how to argue, express myself and stand up for what I want. I also learnt that we don’t always have to agree on everything, but I also know now that sometimes what he said actually makes sense now… and I love him dearly…
My Brothers- I miss them so much.. They left the house early… Although they live away, I always remember how they would come sleep in my room when we were little, and we would only sleep holding hands… And this is what I keep in my heart… I love them, miss them, and adore their children, no matter how far they are..
Parents- That what your parents say is most of the times true… But you will always go ahead and make your own mistakes… And then learn.. I am grateful for my parents to have let me make my own decisions, but then always be there for me when I need them… Without my parents’ love, affection, and support, I would have never survived.
My Cousins- I never had a sister… But I have my crazy cousins… We grew up together. We laughed and cried together.. We shared our dreams and our secrets together. Our relationship is so precious… And I wish my daughters could experience growing up around their family, cousins, uncles…
My True Friends- Some of them I have known forever, and others came later in my life. Their love makes me stronger, and they are essential in my life. I learnt that when things go wrong in life, and sometimes it happens, you will always always have the support and love of your family and true friends..
Success- Only when you rely on yourself you succeed. Believe in yourself, and know deep down that you will make it.
Fairness- That when you know you did nothing wrong, never lied, and always played fair, no one and nothing will put you down. That bitter people and losers are just losers. They should never be allowed to take your smile away, and they never will.
Titles-They are meaningless. Titles don’t make you the person you are, you make your own title.
Career- It is important too. I had a great start, in the best company ever. I had my dream job, and I was given the chance to experience all the things I love doing. But at that time, I decided to follow my heart, not my job. I decided to protect the one person I loved – at that time.
Sacrifices– You put yourself first, then your family. You can’t sacrifice life, career and future for people who don’t deserve it, no matter how much you love them.
Ask for your rights, in everything. As an employee, a partner, a wife, a parent, a son or a daughter.. The minute you stop asking for your rights they are not your rights anymore.
When you’re in a “wrong” or “bad” situation, just get yourself out of it, as soon as you can. Things won’t get better, so don’t waste your energy trying to fix what you know you can’t fix. It will only get worse. You deserve much more.
Dreams- If I think about it, my dream already came true. I always wanted to be a mom, to have children.. I wanted five children… I wanted twins. I wanted to get married at 16! (Thank you dad for saying no, although that person is still a precious friend today)- But most importantly, I wanted girls! God blessed me with his generosity. I would have never thought, not in my most perfect dreams, that I would have daughters like mine. They make my life happy and rich. I learn from them as much as they learn from me. My daughters are a blessing from God; they are my dream come true!
Love-LOVE should bring you happiness, not harm.. Love is someone who wants you to be the best you could be. Love is not selfish. Love wants to see you grow, not control you.. Love is generous, not humiliating..
Love- no matter what… Follow your heart… But be aware of what’s going on… Follow your heart with your eyes open…
Life- Life is so precious… Live it fully, be open, be positive, be true to yourself, be generous to people around you, take care of the ones who really love you, grow your friendships… Smile! Always… Pray, Live and Love.. Be happy…
My name- Hayat. I used to hate it when I was little, but also love my grandma through it, although I have never known her, HAYAT, I was named after her….  Today, I remember what a friend once told me-  “Live up to your name”. My name is all about LIFE and LOVE, so how better than that could it be??
