Alice Temperley Talks About Temperley’s Fall 2007 Collection
November 27, 2007

Alice Temperley is one of my favourite designers.
Every season I look forward to seeing her collection in New York. She’s fresh, young and talented. Alice speaks to us about her Fall 2007 collection. And what really amazes me about her is how nervous she is backstage…
Hayat Ammouri: Do you have any idea how good you are?
Alice Temperley: No.
Hayat Ammouri: I always see you stressed, but your clothes are gorgeous. Tell me about your collection.
Alice Temperley: I was inspired by Russia in 1917, when they went to Paris at that time, and they inspired Paris fashion at that time. Ballet Russe and the jewels, and the colors. Ballet Russe did really change fashion. This is where the colors and the details came from. I went to St. Petersberg, and I was so inspired by the palette; so inspired that I decided to work with it.
Hayat Ammouri: Did you design the hats too?
Alice Temperley:Yes.
Hayat Ammouri: What are we going to see this fall?
Alice Temperley:I think just beautiful detailed dresses. Tuxedo dresses, playful but smart, they have details. It’s a perfect blend of all these things put together.
