Hayat Ammouri is the founder and Editor in Chief of Glamouria, a fashion, beauty, and lifestyle magazine that’s both entertaining and empowering.
Hayat studied Business Marketing at the Lebanese American University. She started her career in Beirut, filming TV commercials. Soon after, she moved to Rome, Italy, to join the team of the Orbit Satellite Television & Radio Network, where she became the Corporate Communications Manager. She also hosted the daily music TV show Videoclip on Orbit’s main Arabic Channel Al Thania.
In Italy, the heart of fashion, Hayat also played the role of Personal Shopper for Saudi members of the Royal Family, helping them spend fortunes on the latest couture designs.
Hayat later moved to the U.S. where she became the first journalist in the Middle East to cover New York Fasion Week and Milan Fashion Week, with exclusive backstage access, introducing major international designers to the Arab world, and defining trends in the Middle East. She contributed to leading magazines in the US and the Middle East, including Alo Magazine, Harmonies, Laha, and Sayidaty, the number 1 Arabic selling magazine.
In 2007, Hayat founded Glamouria, the first fashion blog to launch in the Middle East.
In 2016, she launched Glamouria USA, a full comprehensive website, offering Trends, Style Tips, Celebrities Style, Beauty Trends Reports, the latest in accessories, #AskHayat (Fashion Advice), and shopping, in addition to advice from designers and major key players in the Fashion and Beauty industry.
